Ireland Travel Guide

Ireland is easily one of the most enchanting places on earth from the trips of Mohr to the daunting skelling Michael Island. Ireland is a mystical Island just waiting to be explored. Let’s start this “Ireland Travel Guide” blog at Giant’s Causeway. Located in Northern Ireland about a 3-hour drive from Dublin Giants Causeway is one of the most recognisable places in all of Ireland. It’s famous for its jagged cliffs and over 40000 basalt columns there are these perfect hexagons that cover the coast. according to legend the Causeway was built by an Irish giant so he could cross the northern sea. We started by hiking above the cliffs and then made over way down to the Causeway. I was just amazed by the bizarre Rock formations. I had such a fun time walking on them it’s wild to think they were made by nature. While you’re there you can also hike around other spots on the coast such as the amphitheatre. I like this one rock formation called the chimney stacks on the cliffs.

Carrick-A-Rede

While we’re still in northern Ireland we are going ahead over to Carrick-A-Rede (Rope Bridge). It’s a scenic bridge that crosses the sea over to the little Island I was just amazed by the watercolour there. Which is so blue and contrasted perfectly with cream clips.
Just 20 minutes from there you can visit the dark hedges, this avenue is lined with over 90 beach trees. They were planted almost 250 years ago now according to legend there’s a ghost called the grey lady who wonders if the road has a spooky Vibe, especially at night.

Slieve League cliffs

After we are going to leave Northern Ireland to visit the Slieve League cliffs. Located in the country of Donegal about a 4 hours drive from Dublin the slieve league cliffs are song of the highest cliffs in all of Europe with a highest of 601 m and they are just absolutely massive. You are there there are plenty of lookout points and there’s a path that works along the cliffs that offer outstanding views the whole day I went there for sunset but if you want to get the best lighting I recommended going for sunrise the light will hit that cliff really nicely.

Another really beautiful nearby place is the village of Malin Beg. It’s just a 30-minute drive from sleves league and it’s come to one of the best beaches in all of Ireland called the silver strand.
It’s this horseshoe-shaped beach surrounded by green cliffs. If the ocean was not so cold you could think you were on a tropical Island. there’s stay away that what’s you down to the beach I had such a great time working along the sand and exploring the grassy cliffs. also is a mountain there is cool. There’s a Napoleonic signal tower that was built over 200 years ago and you can also get another vintage point of the sleeve league cliffs from there. While we are still in Donegal you can visit Mount Errigal. it’s the tallest peak in Donegal with a highest of 751 meters. if you are up for a challenge you can make the 4 km high to the top to get some phenomenal views of the area. In this blog “Ireland Travel Guide”, I have tried to visit all the places. So that you do not have any problem in planning your trip here.

Eagle’s Rock

Going to visit Eagle’s Rock. About 40 minutes from Donegal, Eagle’s Rock is Ireland’s highest freestanding tower with a highest of 330 m you can Hike about 6 km to reach the top of the plateau and it’s a beautiful area over there. now afterwards we are going to head back to the coast to visit Patrick’s head located on the wild Atlantic way in North Mayo. it’s a distinctly shaped headland home to the impressive Dun Briste sea stack. During World War 2 a lookout post was built here with the markings of Air 64 which was used by American aircraft. So they knew had reached natural Ireland. I never knew what the purpose marking meant I guess EIRE is the Irish word for Ireland, anyway. Just a pretty cool history.

Cliffs of Moher

Afterwards, we are going to visit the most famous place in all Ireland the Cliffs of Moher. Located on Ireland’s Waste Coast about 3 hour’s drive from Dublin. The Cliffs stretch over 14 km the highest reaching 240 meters above the sea. When you go to the cliffs you can park at the visitor’s centre when we were there part that this place is called Guerin’s Path. It’s about €5 a person, a short walk to the cliffs, and not nearly as many people there. When we reach them I was just amazed by the size of the cliffs. I mean they were way bigger than I imagined and they just drop off straight into the ocean if you want to walk to the end of the cliffs you can make the track to Hags Head.
Also, another coolest spot is O’Brien’s Tower. Which was built in 1835. If you can, I recommend waiting for sunset as the light hits the cliffs, giving it a strikingly orange glow. I mean it’s easy to see why it’s one of the most popular places in all of Ireland.

Doonagaore Castle

Another cool spot right next to the cliffs is Doonagaore Castle. Just like 10 minutes away and it’s a 16-century tower House. I just love its unique shape.
Afterwards, we are going to visit the Aran Islands. They are located right of the Galway and the Aran Islands are made up of three Islands with Inishmore being the largest. now to get to the Islands the best option is a ferry from Roseville you can also leave from Dulan which is close to the cliffs.
The island is covered in these recognizable stone walls made from limestone I mean there are just literally everywhere. When you are on the island you can rent a bike or just walk around and explore the intriguing landscapes and historical sites of the Aran Islands.
Another cool place on the mainland of Ireland is Derryclare Lough. It’s located about an hour to drive from Galway and it’s this lake and it has this island with these distinct trees. It reminds me of the island in Harry Potter where Dumbledore’s wand was hidden.
It’s just this scenic site in the countryside and it’s worth a visit especially if you are into photography.

Gap Of Dunloe

afterwards, we are going to the country carry to visit the Gap Of Dunloe. Located in this South Western tip of Ireland about 4 hour’s drive from Dublin the gap of Dunloe is this incredibly Scenic mountain pass. you can drive it if you are comfortable with skinny windy roads now we part at the beginning of the past near kate kearney cottage and then walked up.
One of my favourite features of the Gap of Dunloe is its Bridges you can reach the wishing bridge within just a short work from the parking lot another thing I loved about the place was just the size of the mountains I mean they were just absolutely massive and they were just covered in this dark greenery colour.

Kerry Cliffs

Now afterwards we are going to visit the Kerry Cliffs. Located about an hour’s drive from Killarney the carry cliffs are some of the most beautiful in all of Ireland they are over 300 meters high and many people told me they like them a lot more than the cliffs some more. the cliffs have such a unique colour and finger-like sections that extend into the sea and there are plenty of viewpoints and just overall a great place to visit.

our final destination we are going to visit the Skellig Islands this was the main reason I wanted to go to Ireland. there are these two islands located off of carry and are truly out of this world the only way to get to the island is by boat we went to the company Skelling Micheal voyage. We left from the town of Port MCGEE. The ride out to the Island was no joke the sea was rough but it added to the adventure after about an hour of voting we made it to the island. We got off the boat and I was just so freaking stoked we just started walking off the island’s path. Until we reached the stairs that lead off to the top of the monasteries. The stairs we just beyond cool there were hundreds if not 1000 of Puffins burrowed right next to the stairs and on the island slopes. I mean they were just so freaking cute.
